It's been a while since I've really shared anything specific on my blog about any projects I'm working on. I'm not sure why. Part of it is that when I'm busy it's hard for me to take the time to sit down and write good content. I don't like to write mediocre posts, even if only a handful of people read them.
But I decided to share this project, because I could really use the support. So what is it?
Are you ready?
Script Frenzy. Basically, for the month of April, I'm going to write a screenplay. 100 pages in 30 days.
And it's harder than it sounds.
For the next several weeks I'm going to be blogging about my progress, sharing my experience with the writing process and generally spilling my guts to anyone geeky enough to follow me.
Here's how you can support me:
1. PRAY for me. I've planned, dreamed and talked about this for a long time. I've had a couple of false starts. Now I've told the blogging world I'M IN. I've told God I'M IN. Scary but cool.
2. COMMENT. Although I prefer to write alone, I'm a collaborator at heart. I dream better when I have someone to bounce my ideas off of. There might be times I need honest feedback if I get stuck. That means I need a core group of people to tell me if an idea stinks or if I should run with it. I guess what I'm asking is that IF YOU FOLLOW ME on this blog for this project, that you would be willing to leave comments and feedback on this site. You don't have to be a writer, but you must love a good story.
3. STICK WITH ME. When it's done, I would like to put together a core group that will help me revise and edit my script. Maybe you're the grammar police. Or a spelling guru. Or a dialogue diva. Maybe you just love movies and know why some of them work. Whatever. But we can talk about that when April is over.
So that's it. It's out there. On April 1st I start my new adventure. I hope you come along.
